Happy Easter!
6 March 2010
No it’s not Easter, but you could be mistaken for thinking it was. Christmas has just gone and the shops are already stocking up with Easter eggs! I heard from someone who works in retail that they had Easter eggs delivered to their shop on Christmas eve! I didn’t actually believe it was true until I saw the eggs out on display last week.
For those who need to know and start buying for Easter, it isn’t actually until April this year.
Good Friday ~ 2nd April 2010
Easter Sunday ~ 4th April 2010
Easter Monday ~ 5th April 2010

Wedding Planner
15 February 2010
I wonder how many proposals there were this Valentine’s day? If you were one of the lucky people to have been asked and said “Yes”, congratulations. The next step is to plan your big day.
You may be interested in a Wedding Bible Planner available from John Lewis (£30) and Pickabook (£20.10). Serves as a comprehensive organizer for brides with top tips from a host of wedding experts. This work includes 10 sections with pockets for storing swatches, clippings and quotes. It includes worksheets, checklists, a zipper pouch, business card holder, 2-year diary and pull-out ‘mood board’.
Once you have set the date and chosen the venue - there are literally thousands of options open to suit everyone now - you will be on the hunt for your outfit. Major stores such as Marks and John Lewis have wedding sections making it easy to find the outfit of your choice. Even I have to admit that that is something that isn’t easy to do without visiting the shop!
Goldsmiths have information about planning for the big day, what to look for in your engagement ring, and the certification of diamonds. Click here to visit their wedding page.
However, what you can buy are
the wedding accessories; invites, table decorations, guest books etc. Sites such as Confetti have everything you need from the invitations to the accessories. For more wedding ideas look in our shop and at Partybox. For our wedding we bought everything to decorate the room like these balloons and helium canister to fill them from Partybox and Confetti.
Debenhams also have some great help on planning your big day. Click here to see some tips and advice for choosing the perfect dress and here for style advice for the groom, ushers and page boys. Their beauty writer, Sarah Sian answers some questions here on how to look stunning.

As someone who isn’t a big fan of the day I’m happy to receive nothing, but I know a lot of people choose 14th February to declare how much they love their partner. It needn’t break the bank though.
