What an excellent present …

… even if I say so myself!
For Christmas I bought Jim a driving experience, which he has just done. He drove a Lamborghini and a Ferrari a couple of weeks ago. It was a great day out for him, although I must confess it wasn’t such a great day for me. He had to have a briefing prior to the drive and then was taken in a ‘normal’ car around the track and given further instruction. Spectators are left to watch the cars and other drivers getting in and out of the very beautiful cars, but that’s all there is for them to do. If you too love fast cars, you may well be left marvelling at these fine spectacles. However, I’m of the if you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all school of thinking, so wasn’t left over impressed looking at the many cars on show. However, I waited in the sunshine for Jim to take his turn.
Sadly I got to see him get in and out of the car and occasional glimpses of the car as it went around the track in front of me. The experience was not thrilling for me. However, Jim loved it, which is really how it should be! He has now decided that we won’t bother with a Lamborghini, he much preferred the Ferrari!!! Dream on matey!
If you’re looking for a gift for the driving fanatic there are many to choose from. You can also book drives for younger members of the family too, which is on my ideas list for Son Number One, who is a dab hand at the PS3 driving games and who will all too soon be behind the wheel of a real car.
Take a look here in our shop for a full list of driving experiences.
