Father’s Day 2009
11 May 2009
Last year it was whilst I was watching ITV’s This Morning where there was an item on gifts for Father’s Day and realised that I’d completely forgotten with just two days to go! They did however have some fantastic ideas for gifts, which I made a note of and added a few of my own. This year I hope to be a little more prepared! Father’s Day is still a while away, but for your diary it is on Sunday 21st June 2009.
It is a simple, but totally brilliant idea. You simply place the memory card from your camera in to one of these and it can display one picture or a slide show. Argoshave a 7 inch frame, which was featured on the programme. If you want a larger frame then these have a 10.4 inch frame, or these have an 8 inch frame . For more frames look here.
Not featured on the programme, but Jim has some of these that he bought himself (why do they buy themselves what would be a great present?). This pair costs £70.99. They also have these for £44.29. Jim can listen to his music almost anywhere in the house and not bother us with his taste in music! Look here in our shop for more headphones.
Experiences
There are many experiences to choose from such as Monster truck driving. They also have go-karting, Spy Academy (£99), and Ghost hunting (£99). Buyagift are offering £5 off any spend over £25 with the code FDAFF5 and £10 off any spend over £100 with the code FDAFF10. Between 15th and 21st June 2009 they are offering 15% off any order above £75 eith the code bag15.
Alternatively, there’s tank driving, parachuting, stock car racing or flying lessons. Look here for more experiences, not just for the man in your life, but for the ladies and the children.
I also found this flying alarm clock from £8.95. I know it’d be great fro Jim or Son Number Two as neither of them are good at getting up. You can’t stop the alarm unless you get up to replace the propeller, but I have visions of my son replacing the propeller and crawling back to bed!
There’s also a USB turntable for playing all of those records. For cricket fans there’s Plug and Play cricket . Again from This Morning there’s the T-Qualizer Music Tee , which is a funky t-shirt that reacts to sound. Perfect if your dad likes to go clubbing!
If there’s nothing there to whet your appetite take a look in our shop for more gift ideas.
Don’t forget Dad’s card either! Yoodoo.com have 15% off with the voucher code DAD07 which expires on 21st June.
