It’s the turn of the iron to stop working now

Russell Hobbs Steam Generator IronA couple of weeks a go the washing machine broke and now it’s the iron. Some may say thank goodness, but I love ironing! No, I really do. It may difficult for many to understand, but I’m Jane and I’m an ironing addict!
If it stays still long enough in this house it gets ironed! I can spend many a happy hour or two gazing across the park in front of the house and half watching some daytime TV, just me the iron and a pile of clothes! Imagine my horror when the iron wouldn’t work! In fairness a couple of days before it had developed a fault with the steam button, but then it stoppped all together.
Jim had bought it for me a year or two ago for Mother’s day. No I wasn’t annoyed, nor did I threaten him with unmentionable pain. I loved it! The boys got me a new ironing board for my birthday the same year at my request!
Luckily I was able to find a new iron and took delivery the next morning. I bought a Russell Hobbs steam generator iron like this.
It has 1.3 litre detachable water tank and is ready to use in minutes. My old iron, also a steam generator iron, had to be switched off each time its 1 litre tank was empty and took a good 10 minutes before I could use it. My latest toy is much better! It’s a bonus that I can refill the tank easily and quickly and be back to ironing in minutes. I’m so far very happy with my purchase.
