Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK. Since 1994, women of all ages and fitness levels across the UK have come together at these inspiring events to walk, jog or run 5k or 10k to help beat cancer. There are over 240 Race for Life events taking place across the UK this summer.

NOW is the time to sign up. I have. I did my first Race for Life last year. I was a late stand in so was not as prepared as I should have been but we made it round with a bit of walking and a bit of jogging.

It’s an amazing day to be involved in and just by signing up you are donating towards this worthwhile cause.

So come on, give it a go. You can choose how you get around the course. Run, jog, walk or a mixture of all three, you’ll be a part of a fun day and of course you’ll get fit by doing it! Sign up here!

I have just places my order for Alice Pyne’s new mug from Emma Bridgewater. I already have her first mug and it is used every day. I love it.

I also bought my husband a Black Labrador mug, which was actually a’second’, but there’s the tiniest flaw on one of the dogs that took us ages to find.

The mugs are sturdy and as I said used every day. However, Alice’s mugs don’t hang around for sale for long so hurry and get yours here!

I have seen this gorgeous coat in the Boden sale. Delivery (and returns should I need to!) are free, but the trouble is I am really not sure whether I need it or indeed if it’s something I would wear. It does look fabulous though! I’d buy the red coat as sadly the other colours are not available in my size, but not only that I think it looks great and not the normal black that I usually go for.

Now this leads to one of my reservations; I usually steer well clear of bright colours unless they are accessories. This coat is very red! I also read a few pages of reviews, which were mixed between love it and hate it, so I’m left none the wiser.

I’ve waited for a day to decide and hoped it may have sold out and I wouldn’t have to decide, but it hasn’t. It’s a fantastic bargain at just £37.50, but still do I need it? Will I wear it?

Thankfully, I have a new credit card and a new number that I haven’t yet memorised. I could enter every detail of my old card without it being in the room. This means no spur of the moment purchases. I guess I’ll wait one more day and then decide….
